Embark on an all-new journey with the villagers of Isola in Virtual Villagers 3, the eagerly anticipated addition to the popular series. I did not have the chance to play the first two Virtual Villagers titles. So here I am, trying out the latest version.
To start with, this real time virtual life game features a Tribal Chief. There are a few trick up her/his sleeve, so try tooling the leader around to see what is available. Your goal is to help the village thrive by keeping its occupants fed, healthy, happy, and busy on the ruins of the city.
From the ruins of the island, train villagers to perform tasks by dragging and dropping them onto different areas on the map. An important aspect is that you do not click on 'pause' before leaving, the villages will keep the crops going and all the other activities in the village on going so that it's a lively place to stay.
This is a real time game. Weather has been added and directly affects the play. It is really addictive and interacting in this sense. You will need to use the different aspects of the climate to keep your villages from starving. If you leave them alone for too long, you'll return to find starving villagers or worse, a town full of skeletons.
Overall, the game is a lot of fun.
