FrontierVille

Zynga latest released, FrontierVille has made quite a headline in the social games. In this Facebook game, players start as a pioneer, making a living out of clearing land, selling the wood and plants from the harvest while rearing the chickens.

In FrontierVille, you will come as a pioneer and get to choose your avatar. Choose your gender and click on your preferred outfits. Then you can choose how you want to look like with your hair and face features. Otherwise, there is a standard appearance if you do not mind the appearance of the standard avatar.

First task that you have when playing this game is to clear the land. Clear, clear, clear! Once you have cleared a plot of land, you will be rewarded with coins, woods or food from the work you do. These rewards are very useful to buy stuffs from the market when you need them.



On the top left hand corner, there is a task icon which you have to always refer to for your to-do-list. Your tasks will be upgraded to different list once you have come to different stage of the game. Once you have done an item in your task list, it will be checked. Make sure to collect enough coins, food or rewards as your energy level will become low as you work through FrontierVille.

Chop down the trees, or pine trees to get the wood. These wood will be kept as your stock level to be used for buildings later.



FrontierVille has a feature on marriage and have a spouse. When you do the farming, you will get occasional letters from your spouse-to-be and exchange presents with him or her. This certainly makes the game interesting! The game fall short at letting you marry your real life friends here. Thus real life couples are not allowed to marry here in FrontierVille.



There are also bonus resources when you harvest animals. Great feature and interesting one too. This booze gets one going and these feature are a plus point to keep one from playing the game.

For those familiar with FarmVille, a sudden search for wild bear or box the irritating snakes will come as a surprise. One thing about the snakes is that when you have overcome one of the snakes, another came in at a different place. So after I have exhausted of my energy, I just leave the snake to do the more important tasks stated in the task bar.



As for farming feature, FrontierVille has almost the typical village type with a twist. It also includes the development of city life over here, with the houses to build. The building could be bought in the marketplace but it is not a readily made building. You need to continue to get the wood by hacking the trees and then use the wood that you get to build up the place. Thus, this is more like real life as resources may be scarce and need to earn it before you can use it.

FrontierVille is enjoyable if you have a lot of resources, and friends to share with. If you are starting to play this, it is always nice to exchange gifts with friends as you may need the gifts when you run out of energy. Overall this is recommended for the players that prefer a more challenging and additive game in making the farming game a success.
