Downhill Snowboard 2+

Downhill Snowboard 2+ game is part of Mindjolt games collections which provides players with a taste of extreme winter sports! Snowboarding!

Gameplay

The game load really fast and there is not much of a menu after the game loaded really. From there all player have to do is to move their mouse cursor around the screen, instruction is usually on the top left side and will only appear if you move your mouse over it.



New players are advised to read the short instruction as you will really need to know how this game works. This is where the game really gets tricky. Downhill Snowboard 2+ control really puts players to the test during the first time they playing it. I find is rather frustrated crashing my avatar on the ground a few times into the game, however after you get used to the control, the game can be quite fun.



The main goal of the game is to reach from the top of the summit way down to the low lands. To do this, players will be surfing their way on their snowboard and try to perform as many tricks as possible and trying not to get their face splatter all over the snow when they land. After a few tries, I find the A and S key handy as trying to balance myself after performing a stunt.

Once players complete a level, more levels will be unlocked including costume and snowboards.



Other than that another feature I do find frustrating is that every time players completed a level (or crashed) a post box will usually pop up asking you to post the score on the wall. To ignore this, player need to click on the cancel button in order not to allow the post box to keep coming up.

Graphic

The graphic is very plain here. The player character does have some ‘rag doll’ on it, but I feel like it’s more like paper doll then a rag doll really. Good news here is the game moves very fast and smooth without any lag.

Sound

The loud Punk Rock music starts as soon as the game load and it’s very loud really. I would recommend turning it off instead unless you really enjoy the song. Furthermore there is no sound effect present in this game at all, not even when you crash.

Conclusion

If you enjoy snowboard, then you might like this game. Else I can’t really find much reason to really play it unless you want a quick game that last you for a few minutes.
