FarmVille Walkthrough

Recently I have played a lot of farming games, I was playing FrontierVille which is by Zynga. There are a lot of farming games lately. So today I try out FarmVille, also by Zynga to see what is the difference of this farming game with the other game. Zynga give almost the same name for the games. Ville. Seems to be similar. So how about the gameplay? Here is a walkthrough for the game:

1. FarmVille was quite similar on the basic farming activities. Have fun to be a farmer in this game. Begin by choosing your farmer's gender: girl or boy. Here Zynga has a standard screen for the gamer's looks. You can choose how you want to look like...your eye color, long or short hair, and your outfits.



2. It is rather easy to be a farmer in FarmVille. All you need to do is click, click and click. The 3 easy and yet master steps: plow, plant and harvest. Plow to make your plot of land ready for plantation, then click again to plant the seeds.You can buy the seeds of watermelon, grapes, tomatoes, pink roses, potatoes, carrots, coffee and corn! I am really feeling tempted to eat the real corn in my kitchen now, which is in my soup for today. Yummy!

Depending on the time to harvest, your plants will grow and ready for you to harvest.



The tutorial in the game is pretty clear and straightforward, it demonstrate how to harvest your crops. Click on your plot of land to harvest them.



3. Gift box: you will get a box to keep all your mystery gifts, and gifts that you get occasionally while you are plowing your land. Nice to get gifts, especially useful and practical gifts for your farming here. Looks like a treasure gift box to me, especially in yellow gold color. Tried to click on it happily, but hey not too fast, I could not open it. Apparently I need to get the passcode to unlock it. You need to sign up for Zynga's email program to get the password for it.



4. There is an option to leave your friends a note by placing a Sign Post on farm. Click the icon in the upper-right of your screen to place a sign in the ground of your friends' farms.

5. Zynga has introduced Beehives into FarmVille. Farmers have been wanting to get bees here, so to get started, you can click on your gift box to find what you need there.

6. After plowing and planting, time to wait for it to grow. It seems like eternity while waiting, making my necks grow longer. So while you wait, scout around at the market to see what you can buy. You can buy seeds, trees, animals, buildings here.

For buildings, there are limited items you can buy which is according to the number of days for the sales. Buy Swiss Chateau, Sweets Shop, Swiss Bank, Swiss Cottage, Cabin and Barn.



7. One thing that FarmVille is different from the rest is that you can get email notification when your crops are ready to harvest. Or an alert when your friends leave a comment on your farm, receive a neighbor's request and so on. I did not remember having an email option while I was playing FrontierVille.

8. While decorating your farm with items you have bought in the market, remember your harvest your crops on time in order to make more coins: if you don't come back in time they will wither.

9. Bright and colorful bees are here in FarmVille. For a better chance to find bushels, pollinate your crop well.I like colorful games, graphics looks especially brighter and nicer with the arrival of bees here.



10. Ribbons: Many types of ribbons to mark your achievement as a farmer in FarmVille. Get the ribbons by befriending neighbors, earning the coins, harvest crops, own decorations, adopt animals. Wow...this feature is kind of motivating one to use the decorations on the farm, rather than giving you the penalty of not using them, FarmVille uses Reward feature. This makes this game a rather breeze game and not a tense one.



11. Recycle tool: this sells anything that can be sold and deletes anything that can't.

12. Gifts for friends: You can select a free gift to send your friends..beehives, dog treat, wooden board, bottle and so on.

13. Extra money can be earned when you helped out at your friends' farms. Fertilize, or pull out the weeds when your neighbor needs them. And by doing so, you get money which can then help you to buy the things you need.
