Well, the game’s fundamental gameplay is the same, which is developing a city, then add more buildings to the city to simulate a real town. First thing first. Start with construction work if you haven't done it....there is this research tree that branches off into various necessary or voluntary discoveries. These cultural buildings are important and are needed to advance, but without enough huts, houses and other residences, building other types is pointless and a waste of money. As with all of these types of city building games, population is first and foremost. Build lots of residential buildings,and people will move to your city.

Oh..one thing a bit inconvenient about City of Wonder is that it takes time for each of the research to complete. You can outsource to your contractor for these jobs to be done faster and get reward in shorter time.

Get lots of friends and neighbors. By making lots of allies, build embassies in their cities, you will get more money for visiting your embassies. So remember to frequently visit these places you've built. Other than that, visiting a friend’s town will allow you to earn a few experience points and coins, just as you can in Social City.



Land expansions are dependent on the amount of neighbors you have. Make use of the foot paths that are available to build in the game from the start. Later, when you discover the wheel, you can start to build an actual road. There are some strategy need to use as you need to have the right technology and knowledge to purchase an item on sale.
