Backyard Monsters

Backyard Monsters is a Facebook game that has the gamers build a city of defense for fellow monsters. It allows players to defend the city they have built and also to attack other cities.

I would say this game has a 3 in 1 concept. Gamers can build a city, explore the quests given and also build a store for shopping in the monsters city. This is a city building game with a little twist and some extra features.

Building a city means it is similar to City of Wonder in a sense, by building town hall, banks and other buildings. However in Backyard Monsters, this city also open to attacks by other creatures. So you will need to build defense levels to guide your city.

The quest in Backyard Monsters is an excellent guide to harvest Twigs, Pebbles, Putty and Goo. Just click on the Quests button at the bottom right corner of the screen and you will be having a lot of tips to gain the points. This feature is impressive and quite comprehensive.

As for the Store, you can buy upgrades, workers and other resources. Most of the features here could be bought using Shiny that you gained during the game's quest. Or you can purchase using the real money, similar with other Facebook games. Using real money is a bit inconvenient to players, however, do not worry as you will be get enough free Twigs and Pebbles from the building quests to begin the game with.

When you are about the exit the game for the day, don't forget to check out the number of hours for your defense time. You can click the red color bar at the top right corner to get to this screen.

Overall Backyard Monsters is a refresher break from other games as it has incorporated a little of strategy game with the harvesting concept. Definitely try this game out when you have the time!
