Top 5 Facebook Games in October 2010

Over the recent months, facebook games from bigger developers are having some losses in traffic while  smaller developers are growing. However, in general, the top 5 ones maintained mostly from bigger ones. The losses in traffic for longer games mostly due the nature of the gaming products.

The longer the game is, people might be bored playing the games while there are newer games emerge in the market. However, there are some long-standing games that are still at the top.

Here are the top 5 facebook games in October 2010 in terms of the traffic.

1. FarmVille



FarmVille is having some 61 million users last month. This is the game developed by Zynga and is in the farming niche.

2. Texas HoldEm Poker



Texas HoldEm Poker is having active 32 million users based on last month data. Personally speaking, I have never like to play card games but I guess this game is having a lot of fans out there.

3. FrontierVille



FrontierVille, another newer game from Zynga, is getting 30 million of active users last month, which is pretty good.

Mafia Wars is a very popular Facebook game, which has a whopping 29 million of users last month! Amazing yeah, which I personally find that this game is just a clicking game where you combat in a war. Well...well.....again I guess this game caters for different niche as each and every gamer's  preferences are different.

5. Cafe World



Restaurant theme facebook game, Cafe World is fetching an estimate of 22 million users last month. yummy..I kind of like restaurant theme as this makes me hungry.

Conclusion

There are other top Facebook Games that I didn't cover here as the top 5 are the most significant ones. Overall it seems that Zynga bags all the top 5 games. Subsequent to the Zynga, the other developers that are in the top games are MindJolt (which I like a lot for some of the games), Playfish, Crowdstar and Popcap Games.
